The wedding party moved over to the beautiful Mercury Hall for the remainder of the evening. I saw things happen at this wedding reception that I’ve never seen in all my life and I loved every second of it. Socks were cut off, kissing standing on top of the chairs, kissing under the table. There was never a dull moment. Danish weddings FTW! Want to breathe some life into your reception? Then hire these guys: The Minor Mishaps, they are a super cool Austin marching band. Funnest wedding ever.
Jessie and Mess had a whirlwind romance, meeting in New York barely one year ago. Mess said in his toast to his love that he “knew from the moment he met Jessie, that she was the one”. They moved to Austin and recently were married in a quaint South Austin church followed by a rocking reception at Mercury Hall. The wedding ceremony was so touching and full of surprises including a rad marching band and a beautiful version of the Beatles song, I Want To Hold Your Hand, sung by the entire room full of guests. I admit that I was singing right along with them.
I just love Jessie’s wedding look! So 1940s Hollywood glamour. She was such a stunning bride.

It’s time to announce the winner of my wedding photography giveaway!!

I received so many creative and wonderful entries for the Rock the Dress session contest. It was so hard to pick a winner but this girl’s entry just felt instantly right. She is someone that not only do I think will be an absolute blast to photograph but I will definitely want to sit down and have a beer or a gin and tonic (hmm…I mean vokda tonic) with at the best little dive bar we can find.
