I met Cameron + Marquis at their favorite coffee spot, Houndstooth, at our initial consult. I fell in love with them instantly and had my fingers double crossed hoping with sugar on top that they would book me. Yeah for me, they did! The day of their engagement session I spotted this coffee sign while doing a little pre-session scouting + had to grab the shot. It seemed like the perfect omen before their session. I’m so happy to share these photos with you…heck, happy to share Cameron + Marquis with you. These guys have personality in spades. We had SO much fun. I know photographers always say that but this was for real, such a fun time. It’s moments like these where I totally forget that I’m technically working rather than just hanging out with friends. If you can’t tell, these guys are adorable times 10.
The dets: we met at Second Bar + Kitchen to start the session. Marquis proposed to Cameron here so the spot has sentimental meaning which I love. They kindly kept offering to buy me a cocktail which I would say thank you but no . The bartender wouldn’t hear of it + poured me the fanciest little champagne + absinthe cocktail…on the house. How could I refuse? I loved it + then I took a picture. Thoughtful gestures deserve documentation. Enjoy!
Make Up for the engagement session was done by the lovely, Maris Malone Calderon.
Next up, I’ll be shooting Cameron’s bridal session at Chateau Bellevue with the help of super fab wedding stylist, Emily, of Bird Dog Weddings. It’s going to be rad.
