Marfa Photographer summer trip.
It’s summer here in Austin + we’ve reached the days of 100* temps. It feels hot + sticky like someone left the blow dryer on. Time for a vacation I say! I’m heading to Marfa in a few weeks to photograph Will + Casey’s wedding so I thought it was high time I posted these photos from last year. The DH, myself + our sweet husky took a long road trip to Colorado last year to photograph this Denver wedding. It had been ages since I had gotten behind the wheel for such a long trip. We had so much fun + only almost lost our dog twice! Once while stopping to let her look at some cows. We spent long hours driving through Texas. We saw Elvis + some rusty Cadillacs with graffiti at Cadillac Ranch. We stopped in the quaint historic town of Trinidad, Colorado, for some pizza. Man, I wish I had bought that blanket. On the way to the Great Sand Dunes we found Kenny. White Sands New Mexico has to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. It’s like stepping inside a watercolor painting. Our trip ended in Marfa, the offbeat little art town where you can disappear + still eat gourmet food. We had the best time. We took our time. No agendas. No schedules. Just pure exploration. It’s what I live for + can’t wait to do it again.
If you are looking for a Marfa photographer for your wedding, I’d love to talk to you. And please contact me for your Colorado and New Mexico destination weddings. I’m ready for my next adventure!
