I loved this Allan House wedding. The bride wore a beautiful simple tulle wedding dress. The groom and his fellows spent time at Easy Tiger enjoying a few pints before the wedding. That was such a great idea. Thanks to Vanessa for having me along for this one!
Casey + Will’s wedding weekend in Marfa was amazing! It’s really hard to describe the laid back atmosphere that Casey + Will managed to create out in the middle of nowhere, Texas. But they did + it felt like home. The great thing about Marfa being so small was that no matter where I went I was likely to see intimate little moments that kept a smile on my face + a few tears close by. People flew from all over the world to this quirky, little west Texas town to watch them say I do. Some came as far as London + Australia. So many packed their bags from scattered destinations across the US to make their way to Marfa. It’s pretty impressive when you think about it. I mean it’s a huge ordeal to plan a wedding almost 7 hours from where you live especially when the nearest airport is some 2 hours away. Convincing family + friends to travel those distances takes a lot of planning. The promise of good food helps! I have a feeling that they would have traveled to the end of the earth for these two.
The wedding took place at Capri Lounge just across from the Thunderbird Motel. The wedding party got ready at El Cosmico and the Paisano Hotel. Their theme was a West Texas Waltz. They married + danced under the big Texas sky. Rainbows, rain, Lone Star Beer + good tunes made the night perfection.
I would love to go back to Marfa. Growing up in a small country town, I feel right at home in Marfa. I hope I get to go again soon. Congratulations W+C! Thank you for taking me along to waltz with you.
