This was such a fun engagement session. I love that Kathryn + Darren were open to stepping away from the typical engagement session locations in Austin. Not that there’s anything wrong with the tried + true…it’s just well, done a lot 
. So when I suggested we start at their place, wander their neighborhood + see what we found, I admit to being a little nervous when they said yes. The thing with those tried + true spots – well, there is a level of comfort in knowing what to expect (from both sides) so this was definitely stepping outside of my box a little. But without the risk, you’ll never know the reward. It was so exciting exploring their little hood not knowing what we’d find. I’m so glad we did this + glad they went along for the ride.
