Austin Wedding Photographer | Editorial Rock the Dress Session

When Crystal with Chez Wedd contacted me about featuring one of my photos on her blog, showcasing bridal sessions at the Lustre Pearl, a local favorite bar, I decided to revisit some of Heather’s photos. I’ve posted a couple of her photos on my blog in the past but never really gave the session the full display. There were so many amazing photo’s from Heather’s rock the dress bridal session that it was almost impossible to narrow down my favorites. Well here they are and I’m still so in love with these photos. This is still one of my favorite photo shoots to date and looking at them makes me want to get out and do more creative shoots like this one. It takes a wiling subject, a professional hair + make up artist, the right styling plus fabulous/interesting clothes and locations. The ever amazing Ellie Vixie performed her magic on the already beautiful Heather. We went old Hollywood glam for the first part of the session showing off Heather’s beauty and then went a little rock-n-roll for the second part of the session. I wanted Heather to look a little edgier and I dare say gritty yet still beautiful. Ellie translated the look beautifully. And let me tell you, Heather rocked the heck out of her dress! I would love to photograph a wedding at the Lustre Pearl. I think it would make the perfect venue for a smaller, more intimate wedding. My fingers are crossed that it will happen one day soon!!lustre pearl bridal sessionphotographer austinaustin wedding photographeraustin wedding photographeraustin photographersfashion wedding photographeraustin wedding photographyaustin wedding photographeraustin wedding photographersaustin wedding photographerbridal fashion shoot austinaustin wedding photographywedding photographers austin txaustin wedding photographerkick ass bridal sessionsphotographers in austinaustin wedding photographyaustin wedding photographerswedding photographersedgy fun raw bridal sessionaustin wedding photographer

Austin Wedding Photographer | DIY Wedding at Vintage Villas

I LOVE DIY weddings! When a couple takes time to put themselves into a wedding, the wedding is always more fun. This wedding was full of fun details including hand made cloth napkins in my favorite colors yellow + gray. And who doesn’t love balloons? Hand made origami aisle markers? Yes, please! Cute little bird tattoos (real) for the bride and MOH? Um, hell yes! They even wrote their own vows full of sweet “why I like you” what-nots!  Photo booth – a huge success. You should add one to your wedding collection! An important word of advice for you DIY brides: be a bride on your wedding day! Amanda + Corey smartly hired Ventana Wedding & Events Productions to handle the set up and day of coordination. They did an amazing job at putting Amanda’s designs on display allowing the bride + groom to have a stress free not to mention kick ass time at their wedding. I am so glad I had the opportunity to help out She-n-He photograph Amanda + Corey’s wedding at Vintage Villas. They could not have been a nicer couple!
