After spending the day in Houston with Fer, an amazing wedding photographer based in Mexico, for his workshop, I feel energized and inspired! It’s always interesting to see how other photographers work. I loved being able to play with new ways to see light and create a more dramatic image. We don’t always have time to get images like this on the day of the wedding, so I’m hoping to encourage clients to consider adding a day-after session to their wedding collections. Here are a few of my favorite engagement and wedding session images from the day. I admit, there are a few that make me so, so happy…in a “OMG, I freaking shot that!!” kind of way! I have to give a special nod to the In-Tandems, an amazing photography duo, who were our models for the day. They are the sweetest people and really rocked it in front of the camera.

There are some people who you know will be in your life forever and Erin is one of them. Erin + I met in acting class here in Austin and became friends almost overnight. When you study Meisner, you have no choice but to get to know the people around you. Souls are bared, tears are shed, laughter is sung…in those moments friendships are made. Even though she lives in New York and I miss her dearly, it’s nice to know she’s only a phone call, a text or a skype session away.
