Lauren + Alexander were married on June 6, 2009, in their own backyard and were surrounding by their closest friends and family. Their wedding was sweet and comfy like a warm blanket. They did things their own way in true DIY style. I’m pretty sure everyone had a super rad time. These two guys are always going to have a special place in my heart. Not only do we religiously tailgate every Texas football game together but they allowed me to be a part of one of the most special days of their lives…as their wedding photographer. To put their trust in me, a girl who’d never shot a wedding before (even I thought they were Crazy), was a huge effort of faith on their part. It could have been horrible…friendship-ending, terrifying stuff…but instead it was an exhilarating day with friends. And since they both still speak to me…without further adieu…here’s the day Lauren + Alexander said “I do”.
Check out the awesome sign Lauren + Alexander made themselves. So cute!

I think Lauren looks absolutely stunning in this photo! One of my all time favs.

This girl’s shoes were To Die For!

Lauren + Alexander opted to do their portraits before the ceremony. It was so nice and calm – just the three of us. Cue the aww. I highly recommend it!

Ok, so at this point Lauren let EVERYONE know that someone forgot to give her her bouquet. I nearly died and would have ran inside to grab it myself if I hadn’t been holding a camera. She was a great sport about it and really loosened the ceremony up. That’s Alexander’s sister, Stephanie, cracking up. This photo makes me grin every time I see it.

Lauren + Alexander danced their first dance to La Vie en Rose, sung brilliantly by Julia Parmenter of Bernson and Bayless. These guys were fabulous!!!

I caught Lance stealing a kiss from his soon to be bride, Sherra. Such a beautiful moment between them!

You know it’s going to be a good party when Elvis makes an appearance! Lauren + Alexander wanted to do a photobooth and I am so glad they did because it turned out to be crazy fun. Alexander’s sister, Stephanie, brought some amazing props. It was a huge hit!

I must give major props to my husband, who was my second shooter during the ceremony, for taking this photo of all us girls. I made it in one! Somehow I ended up with a tiara on my head.
Thanks, Bee!!

Congratulations you guys! I wish you love and a lifetime of happiness.
