As a wedding photographer, it’s not that often that we get to work with clients multiple times – at least not until they start having babies! So when Katie first asked to meet with me about her wedding, I was so excited! Katie is a past portrait session client and when she told me she couldn’t imagine anyone else photographing her wedding day, I did a little happy dance!  We met at the cutest bar near the University campus to start their engagement session. It was a great chance to get to know Jack a bit, relax + have fun. Katie + Jack met at UT so we spent part of their session on campus. I loved hearing the story about how they met while working as lab partners. How cute are they? Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

What can I say about Rachel + Brad? They are so much fun, they know how to laugh and they love each other immensely.  We spent the day shooting their engagement photos at some of their favorite spots on The University of Texas campus and at their favorite little Austin pocket park which after all these years I didn’t even know existed. What a unique find! I love that we were able to grab a few beers after the session at the Crown & Anchor. I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding in May at The Caswell House. I have a feeling that it’s going to be a huge party .

In case you don’t know, I happen to be a huge Longhorn fan. My husband and I have season tickets and we were so excited to go the first home game this weekend.We bleed burnt orange don’t you know? Ha. We started tailgating with some friends a couple of years ago and it continues to grow. We get there early, cook a bunch of food and talk a lot of shit until game time. Our spot is located on San Jacinto and 26th St. (otherwise known as Dean Keaton but I refuse to call it that…always will be 26th to me) Why does Austin have to change the name of everything? Lady Bird Lake? Noooo, it’s Town Lake. Anyway We are so ready to win the National Championship again. It’s time.

They were pretty cool even though they took the spot we’ve held for the past three years. But who’s counting?
