As a wedding photographer, it’s not that often that we get to work with clients multiple times – at least not until they start having babies! So when Katie first asked to meet with me about her wedding, I was so excited! Katie is a past portrait session client and when she told me she couldn’t imagine anyone else photographing her wedding day, I did a little happy dance!  We met at the cutest bar near the University campus to start their engagement session. It was a great chance to get to know Jack a bit, relax + have fun. Katie + Jack met at UT so we spent part of their session on campus. I loved hearing the story about how they met while working as lab partners. How cute are they? Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

After spending the day in Houston with Fer, an amazing wedding photographer based in Mexico, for his workshop, I feel energized and inspired! It’s always interesting to see how other photographers work. I loved being able to play with new ways to see light and create a more dramatic image. We don’t always have time to get images like this on the day of the wedding, so I’m hoping to encourage clients to consider adding a day-after session to their wedding collections. It’s a great way to capture amazing images without the stress of the wedding day timeline! Please contact me to learn more about my day-after sessions!

Here are a few of my favorite engagement and wedding session images from the day. I admit, there are a few that make me so, so happy…in a “OMG, I freaking shot that!!” kind of way! I have to give a special nod to the In-Tandems, an amazing photography duo, who were our models for the day. They are the sweetest people and really rocked it in front of the camera.

Shannon + Wes were married in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at The Vista on Seward Hill. La Fleur Vintage provided some of the most beautiful wedding flowers I’ve ever seen and Elizabeth is just the nicest lady. I love how all Shannon’s bridesmaids wore different dresses. Can you tell I was a little obsessed with the flower girl? How cute is she? She definitely gets the award for cutest wedding toast of the year! Speaking of…I can’t believe this is one of my last weddings of 2011! Time has flown this year!
